Locals of Gayo village are digging a well in South-Ethiopia. Drought is a serious problem year after year in this area. The villagers are rebuilding their traditional water sources, the so called Ellas, with the financial help of hungarian donators. The wells with a slant way down to the water level is the only source nearby for man and cattle too. 15-20 meters below ground level the water remains cool and clean, even during the hot season. The only purification applied are tablets.
